There are bad haircuts, and then there’s the bright orange mullet that sits atop Audra Harrison’s head:

Outright Disaster

A chastity belt you can wear on your head.

All Audra wants is for the Salon Apprentice to try and fix it. When she refuses Audra has no choice but to write a review warning other New Yorkers away from this over hyped salon.
When the salon manages to pull down the review, Audra declares war.
It becomes her mission to post pictures of her bad hair on every photo share app she can find.
Then her enemy comes for her. Hamish Stuart: the hair whisperer himself. Over six feet of beautifully muscled Scotsman that’s used to having supermodels and A list Actresses fall at his feet.
Now that he’s met her he wants more than apologies. He wants her heart.

EXCERPT:

Hamish:

I stepped off a plane less than an hour ago only to find out that some nutcase has posted pictures of herself with a haircut from hell all over the world wide web claiming it’s from my Salon.

“Did you find her?” I call my lawyer from the car.

“The App gave up her email easily, when they learned she was never a client of yours, and that you were proceeding with legal action against her. Our investigator is on it. We’ll have her served with papers tomorrow morning.’

‘I want those posts pulled down now.”

“Hamish, that’s not going to happen.”

“Your investigator found her number, yeah. Give it to me.”

“Bad idea Hamish. You don’t want to have any contact with her.”

I hang up on him and dial his PI.

“You’ve got this woman’s number, yeah.”

“Yes, but I really don’t think…”

“We can talk and talk about this but eventually you’ll give me her number.”

“Don’t do anything stupid, Hamish.”

“Text me her number.”

I hang up and wait. Moments later he sends me her number.

“Hello.”

“Audra Harrison?” the voice that answers the phone is unexpectedly sexy.

“Who is this?”

“Hamish Stuart.”

“Very funny.” And the line goes dead. What the fuck? I hit redial.

“I don’t know who you are, but this isn’t funny. Stop calling me.”

“Consider this a courtesy call Ms. Harrison. Tomorrow my lawyers are serving you with papers. I intend to sue you for defamation. You can help yourself by pulling those posts down now.”

“Listen, Mr. whoever you are. I am hanging up now. Do not call me again.”

“Do you know what I look like Ms. Harrison?”

“Hey, Asshole if you’re gonna tell me your pants are off right now and you have your mouse sized dick in your hands…”

I fight a laugh.

“Do you know what Hamish Stuart looks like?”

“Everyone knows what Hamish Stuart looks like.”

That statement fills me with an absurd amount of pride. “I’m calling you back on video. Then you are going to spend the evening taking down every piece of perjury you posted.”

I hang up and dial her back. The phone rings, and rings. It takes six rings for the thorn in my side to pick up the phone.

“Well shit!” says the young woman in the ball cap when she finally picks up the phone.

“I assume that means you recognize me.”

She nods. She’s beautiful. I didn’t expect that. In each photo she’s posted she’s wearing oversized glasses and a crazy expression. Now I can see her eyes are blue almost grey, she has high cheekbones and she’s younger than I expected.

“Good. I’ll be clear. I don’t know what you hoped to gain from this. Is this revenge because we failed to hire you? Is your Ex-boyfriend or girlfriend in our employee? Truth is, I don’t care. Retract your posts. Apologize online and I won’t sue you until there’s nothing left.”

“Listen you pretentious asshole. 1. I have nothing to take. I lost my job because of you, and 2. I’ve done nothing wrong. I received a shitty service from your salon, and I wrote about it. Nothing criminal about that you bully. You’re just going to have to suck it.”

Then she hangs up on me again.

I text my lawyer. Sue her for everything you can possibly think of.
