Someone will stop at nothing to silence her...
Ethical hacker Tawny Reed chose the FBI over a possible criminal record....and gave up any semblance of a life to meet her handler's stringent demands. But getting stabbed in the line of duty wasn't part of the plan: she deals in code and algorithms, not the blood and violence that cost her father his life.
Biology professor Colt Rippey rushes to save an injured woman on the side of the road. That white-knight act tumbles him into Tawny's world of power built on lies--and people's lives. When Tawny reveals she has nowhere to go, Colt suggests they hide in his cabin deep on the Olympic Peninsula. There, he hopes to save Tawny and even give his life some meaning.
Danger stalks Tawny and Colt, making it difficult to know who they can trust. The sanctuary Tawny finds in Colt's arms and bed are temporary. Isolated in a remote cabin, hunted by figures who want to silence her, Tawny must outpace and outmaneuver the men who destroyed her life years before. The hunt is on...will Tawny's timebomb explode while Colt risks his life and future to keep Tawny safe?
My Review:
Midnight Dance starts out with Colt Rippey pinning over his ex-girlfriend. Colt is attending his brother’s wedding when in walks his ex-girlfriend. Colt is on his way to becoming intoxicated but then decides not to let his ex pull him down like that.
Afterward, Colt decides he needs a vacation from his ex and everything else. Colt is on his way to spending some time alone in a remote cabin when he spots a woman on the side of the road. Tawny was attacked and stumbles out in the road trying to escape her death.
With nowhere to go Colt takes Tawny to his cabin and soon finds himself drawn into her world. Tawny is on the run from some dangerous people, people who want to see her dead. Tawny knows too much for them to let her live and tell her tale to the people she is working with to bring them down.
Midnight Dance is a fast-paced read that once I picked it up I couldn’t lay it down until I had turned the last page. Midnight Dance is filled with suspense from the first page or at least from the first page Tawny entered on that is. Midnight Dance will keep the pages turning with all its suspense and twists that never lets up from one page to the next.
I highly recommend Midnight Dance to all fans of romantic suspense with plenty of twists to keep the pages turning. One-click your copy of Midnight Dance today to begin this romantic adventure!
