Blurb:

How far would you go to save what you thought you’d lost during the apocalypse?

After learning her father is alive, going with Heath had seemed like a no-brainer to Rowan. Her dad was all she had left, after all. The only remaining piece of the life she’d loved so much. But their reunion doesn’t go quite the way she expected it to, and Rowan finds herself alone and uncertain, making her wish she’d taken the time to think things through before making a decision that might cost her so much.

Kiaya has always been logical and resourceful, and she’s confident if she and Devon work together, they’ll be able to figure out a way to get Rowan back. But there’s trouble brewing in the group, making Kiaya question who she can trust. Even worse, she can’t help wondering if staying at the school is the right decision at all.

Between the zombies walking the earth, the wildfire that shows no signs of stopping, and dangerous survivors lurking both in town and in their very own halls, it feels like the whole world is out to get them. Still, Kiaya is determined to not only save Rowan, but to also figure out a way to keep everyone she cares about safe.

My Review:

After discovering that her father is still alive Rowan doesn’t hesitate to go with Heath and his group if it means she will see her father again. After arriving at Heath’s place Rowan begins to question her quick decision in going with him.

Rowan just assumed that when she begged Heath to take her with him that she would be free to go and come when she pleased but that was not to be the case. No, Heath put her on probation or lockdown. According to Heath, she must prove that she can be trusted first.

Blackmail is more like it. Rowan has something that Heath wants and before she can see her father she must give up her secrets and prove herself worthy. Going with Heath may prove to be the worst mistake she ever made and cost her more than she is willing to pay.

Meanwhile, Devon and Kiaya are making plans to get Rowan back. They don’t trust Heath and the quicker they get her out the better off she will be. But first, they must take care of their own house so to speak. People are starting to complain about this one guy in their camp who is acting sort of weird spooking everybody. They know something must be done about this guy before he does something drastic.

Far From Lost is so full of suspense that it kept me glued to the pages wondering what was to become of Rowan, hoping Devon and Kiaya would save her before it was too late.

There were times I wanted to shake Rowan and ask her what she was doing? Did she forget how to think? Why would she do something like that? But I guess as a viewer you can see things that the characters can’t see.

But then there were other times when I just wanted to give her a hug as my heart just poured out to her with tears streaming down my face. If I could have I would have walked right on to the page to help her. Yeah, well I wanted to do more than shake Heath but I won’t say what exactly. How could a person be like that? I will say that Heath does not play nice with others.

So now I only have one question to ask. When is the next book to be released? I can’t wait to read more about Rowan, Devon, Kiaya, and the rest of the amazing people in the Far Series. More zombies, please.

Far From Lost is recommended for all zombie and post-apocalyptic fans. Grab your copy today!
