"He wanted more power, and more control. When I was with him, that seemed to be his main goal."
"What other power was there?"
"Oh, more than you could ever know."

One-liners from book:
Who had taken him? Where had they taken him? How did they get into Fohs-Elocks undetected? Was this all some big mistake—
He dreamed about his parents every now and then. But why? Why did he still dream about them after all this time? They had been dead for almost fifteen years.
“The magic overtook the poor boy. He was what some called insane, and what others called brilliant.”
“This power—Only few have ever dreamt of wielding it—only few have ever seen it! It is a power that has been chased since the beginning of time.”
“It’s coming, Kalbron. That power I had that left me—it’s almost time. There are individuals—organizations—that are stronger than you will ever be when that power finally wakes up and leads them. Do you catch my drift?”
“He wanted more power, and more control. When I was with him, that seemed to be his only goal.”
“I am still more powerful than anyone to ever live.”
“But not me.”
“You’re dead.”
“Am I?”
Nothing was right, and everything was wrong. Something was still going on, in the shadows.
Introduce yourself and tell me about what it is that you do.
I’m Bertrand Coruscare--I’m currently a student in the pacific northwest pursuing a degree in English. I’ve been a storyteller for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been working on The Torch Series for about half a decade now, and I’ve recently finished it. Someday, I’d like to solely write books for a living, so we’ll see how this first one goes.
Tell me more about your journey as an author, including the writing processes?
For me, writing stories has been part of my life since I was a young kid. Whether it’s writing short stories with siblings, plays to perform with friends, poems--there are always new stories popping into my head, waiting for me to tell them. The Torch is no different, I got the idea seemingly at random, the story took off and developed in my head, and all I had to do was write it down. As far as my writing process, the only thing I require is a quiet, comfortable room and a warm drink. Once I have those two things, I let the story do the work and see where the words take me.
