Throughout this book we learn about the sufferance of a baby boy, unwanted by his teenage parents.
This boy grew up with an aggressive and womanising father that constantly reminded him that he was a mistake that ruined his father’s life.
While been beaten and mentally abused, all he craved from his parents was love but received nothing but humiliation and sufferance from his father.
This caused detrimental trauma to the young boy, and he grew up believing that he would never achieve anything in life.
I was this little boy, and this is my story.

Interview with Joseph Fagarazzi
What is your schedule like when you’re writing a book?
I find it best at setting the same time every day from 8.00 am to 12.30 pm Monday to Friday and recharge on the weekend.
Did you ever consider writing under a pseudonym?
Before my book Escaping My Demons was published, my publisher suggested I use my real identity
Have you ever gotten reader’s block?
“Yes, I have” many times, but have now learned that once I get an idea in my head, I try and write it down before I forget. I have a notepad on the side table of my bed in case I wake up in the middle of the night with an idea.
Does your family support your career as a writer?
My wife has supported me with my first book because it’s a true story about my Past and my life as an unwanted child, but now that I have retired it’s become a pastime hobby for me.
How many hours a day do you write?
Once I start a book I try to dedicate myself to at least 4.1/2 hours per day Monday to Friday
If you could invite any three people for dinner, whom would you invite?
I would invite my usual mix of friends! These are people that I trust and feel comfortable with.
Would you share something about yourself that your readers don’t know (yet)?
I would love to tell the full family saga story of my book, but unfortunately, it was suggested not to in case of repercussions, thus preventing me to do so.
Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?
Originality is what I strive to deliver. Telling and delivering my true life story I believe is what the readers truly want fro me.
How do you celebrate when you finish your book?
Nothing too exuberant! When I finished my book my wife and I had a glass of wine
If you could be mentored by a famous author, who would it be?
J K Rowling would be the mentor I would choose mainly because of her will to survive the hardship that she endured before being famous

Joseph Fagarazzi was born in Venice, Italy in 1951. His life story, and his book, Escaping My Demons, are based on his strength and persistence in surviving as an unwanted ridiculed child by biased parents.
