Children of the Gods

A Soren Darnega Novelette

The Descendants 0.2

Published: October 27, 2018

Genre: Dystopian, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Romance, Paranormal

They were deemed unworthy to live by the Lytonian Rule and hunted for their power by murderous thieves.

We were children of the gods, known to be the most dangerous and powerful species to ever live.

That was why we were hunted.

With both Depleters and Collectors seeking to eradicate our kind, we hide within moving villages throughout the Wild Lands with only one rule: Never go near another Gods Child.

But that rule was broken the moment I met Jackie.

And in that moment, our fates were set in stone.

This story takes place before the Descendant Series begins. You can expect to learn more about Soren and his experiences growing up in the Wild Lands, and to also get a glimpse into his relationship with another main character (not giving anything away!)

Expect two more Novelettes to release during the following months Titled: Descendant of The Damned, and Memories of The Hurt.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

My Review:

Children of the Gods is the first novel in The Descendants series and the first by Destiny Hawkins that I have read. Children of the Gods is a great beginning to a new series as we are introduced to the children of the Gods or a couple of them anyways.

Children of the Gods stay hidden in plain sight in different villages that are constantly on the move. Children of the Gods must never have contact with other children of the Gods doing so makes them more visible to others, to the ones whose job it is to hunt them down and destroy them.

Children of the Gods introduces us to one of the children of the Gods, Soren who has been through a lot for someone so young. In Children of the Gods Soren meets the girl of his dreams and his heart is instantly taken with her.

I can’t wait to dive into more from the world of The Descendants to meet other characters and to learn more about this world.
