Blog Tour + Review + #Giveaway: Spells and Slip-ups by Annie Anderson @AnnieAnde @XpressoTours

Spells and Slip-ups
Annie Anderson
(The Wrong Witch, #1)
Publication date: July 5th 2022
Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy

I suck at witchcraft.

Coming from a long line of famous witches, I should be at the top of the heap. Problem is, if there is a spell cast anywhere in my vicinity, I will somehow mess it up. As a probationary agent with the Arcane Bureau of Investigation, I have two choices: I can limp along and maybe pass myself off as a competent agent, or I can fail. Miserably.

Worse news? If I can’t get my act together, I may not only be out of a job, I could also lose my life.

Whose idea was this again?

My Review:

Spells and Slip-ups drew me in with the summary. After reading that summary I knew I had to read it. I was pulled in with this one sentence from the summary “Problem is, if there is a spell cast anywhere in my vicinity, I will somehow mess it up.” Oh, yeah, after reading that it was on I just had to know anything and everything that sentence consisted of.

Oh, and let me tell you I was not disappointed in the least. Spells and Slip-ups was everything it promised to be and so much more. The characters were all so amazing, helping each other whenever they could. Especially the main character Wren. Wren is a witch with a great big heart that always steps up to help others no matter what the cost may be to her. She always tries to do the right thing.

Wren may be a witch but she has no power. No one ever wants to be around her. Anytime someone performs magic and Wren is around their magic will go haywire and can become catastrophic.

Family and friends alike will ask Wren to leave the room just so they can get some peace and do their magic. Wren is an outcast among her own family and I can just imagine how hard it has been for her over the years with no one wanting to be friends with her.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Spells and Slip-ups and can’t wait for more from this world and the characters. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series to make an appearance. Spells and Slip-ups is the first book by Annie Anderson that I have read and I certainly hope it is not the last.

As a first-time reader of author Annie Anderson, I do recommend reading Spells and Slip-ups the first book in The Wrong Witch series to anyone who likes paranormal romance stories as there are some very hot romantic scenes. Grab your copy of Spells and Slip-ups today!
