Fairies and Frosting
Christina Bauer
(Fairy Tales of the Magicorum, #7)
Published by: Monster House Books
Publication date: July 20th 2021
Genres: Paranormal, Young Adult

At last, Elle (never call her Cinderella) is reunited with Alec, the Prince of Le Charme Jewelers. Yay! But the pair soon discovers that Alec’s gemstone empire is about to go bankrupt. Boo. So our favorite couple devises a kick-ass scheme to save Le Charme. To announce their plan, Elle and Alec will hold a Glass Slipper Festival complete with music, dancing and cake. Lots of cake.

There’s only one problem. The Unseelie fae have returned.

Talk about bad news. No one combines lovely looks with dark intentions better than the Unseelie. Now, those nefarious fae want to destroy Elle, Alec and any hope for Le Charme. It doesn’t end there, either. The Unseelie are also targeting Elle’s stepsister, Agatha, as well as her old friend, Jacoby. And when will the Unseelie launch their deadly schemes? The Glass Slipper Festival.

Because fairies and frosting don’t mix.

My Review:

Elle has finally been reunited with her Prince Charming Alec after saving him from the Faerie Lands. As we already know Alec has his own business, he is the Prince of Le Charme Jewelers.

Le Charme is in big trouble as it is about to go under. Elle and Alec has come up with a plan to hopefully save Le Charme Jewelers. Their plan is to have a Glass Slipper Festival there will be dancing and refreshments for everyone who attends. They plan to announce their plan for saving Le Charme at the festival.

While they are making all their plans for the Glass Slipper Festival and their plans for saving Le Charme they learn that the Unseelie fae have returned and have every intention of destroying Le Charme, Alec, and Elle along with Elle’s stepsister Agatha and her friend Jacoby.

Fairies and Frosting is told from both Elle and Alec’s points of view. I really love the scenes where Elle would call up her little friend Gustav, her favorite mouse to help her out from time to time in return, she gives him donuts.

As with the first six books in the Fairy Tales of the Magicorum series, Fairies and Frosting was just as charming and spellbinding pulling me in from the first page and never letting go.

I love reading about the fae and the faerie lands and I so love the twist on the different fairy tales of each character and their life templates. I can’t wait to read the next book, Towers and Tithes for more adventures in the Fairy Tales of the Magicorum universe.

As always I highly recommend Fairies and Frosting to anyone who loves a great fairy tale! But I would definitely recommend reading the first six books in the Fairy Tales of the Magicorum series before reading Fairies and Frosting as I'm sure you want to get the whole picture and not miss out on one morsel of this amazing series.

So one-click your copy of all seven books in the Fairy Tales of the Magicorum series today! Oh, and don’t forget to pre-order the eighth book in the Fairy Tales of the Magicorum series, Towers and Tithes, release date set for November 9, 2021.

Author Bio:

Christina Bauer thinks that fantasy books are like bacon: they just make life better. All of which is why she writes romance novels that feature demons, dragons, wizards, witches, elves, elementals, and a bunch of random stuff that she brainstorms while riding the Boston T. Oh, and she includes lots of humor and kick-ass chicks, too.

Christina graduated from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School with BA’s in English along with Television, Radio, and Film Production. She lives in Newton, MA with her husband, son, and semi-insane golden retriever, Ruby.
