The capital of this far reaching society is meticulously maintained by sentient robots who offer little information.

Something happened in Arachana that led to the disappearance of an entire species. As Malick and the crew attempt to find answers, they are drawn deeper into the mechanical heart of the city. When Malick vanishes and the robots suddenly turn against them, can Nep, Daxx,Trell, and the rest of the rest of the team put the pieces together before it’s too late?

Interview with William Harris

As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?
An owl, because a writer needs to keep their head on a swivel and their eyes open—especially when things get dark.

How many hours a day do you put into your writing?
I binge write. Meaning, when I'm finally bored out of my mind I'm exactly where I want to be to write. I see a movie in my mind of what I want the book to be and I write until life gets in the way.

Do you read your book reviews?
Absolutely, I need to see what people like and don't like about my books. Luckily, so far the don't like's are mainly because the reader has pre-conceived prejudices against something I'm writing about or they can't wait for it. The Chronicles of Malick is a series, you have to wait for it.

Do you leave hidden messages in your books that only a few people will find?
No, I pretty much hit the reader over the head with what I want them to think about. And yes, since there are many mysteries within my books, I leave subtle clues everywhere.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Arachana?
I think of Violet as an old crotchety English woman who thinks she knows everything. I think of Stam and Creeper as inquisitive young English scholars who are polite and proper. And I think Bitula is an egotistical genius who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals and has no regard for any life form other than himself and those like him.

Can you tell us a little bit about your next books or what you have planned for the future?
Book 3 of the Chronicles of Malick is 95% finished and should be out the spring of 2020. Malick and his crew delve into three more quadrants in their search for understanding Sworld.  Remember, wait for it.

Do you allow yourself a certain number of hours to write or do you write as long as the words come?
I binge write.  As long as the movie in my mind keeps playing, I keep transcribing.

Do you have a certain number of words or pages you write per day?  No. As I stated before,
I write when the spirit moves me. Writing is not a job for me, it's a creative outlet, a way to share my imagination with the world.

What inspires you to write?
The unknown—so basically everything. In my opinion mankind knows next to nothing and understands even less. We have only scratched the surface of what is knowable and what exists right before our eyes.

Would you rather

Read fiction or non-fiction?
Fiction. In my mind the only non-fiction books are textbooks. The vast majority of “non-fiction books” is just an authors opinion on a given subject.   Because they usually only present the side of the story or the facts that represents what they think the truth is or what they want to truth to be. As an example, if we construct history based on a hand written letter that someone important during that time frame wrote we are looking at history through the biased eyes of the person writing the letter, and from the examples seen in our current society the majority of what's in the letter could be completely false.

Read series or stand-alone?
I enjoyed both, but I prefer a series if it's science-fiction.

Read Science fiction or horror?
Once again I'll pick science-fiction over horror. But I've read plenty of Stephen King’s books.

Read Stephen King or Dean Koontz?
Both.

Read the book or watch the movie?
Both, but I have to confess, I've seen a lot more movies then I've read books.

Read an ebook or paperback?
I prefer paperback, but times are changing and I’ll change with them.

Be trapped alone for one month in a library with no computer or a room with a computer and Wi-Fi only?
The library as long as they have an extensive science fiction section.

Do a cross-country book store tour or blog tour online?
The first time you asked me this when I wrote Sworld I said neither. But I've changed my mind since then and I'll go with the blog tour online any day—who knows it might actually be fun.
