Paranormal Academy Romance
Only
the strongest survive ... most of the time
Raven
may be a shifter, but she's always felt separate from her wolf. She
never knew it should be different. Then, a stranger showed up in her
hometown, turning her world upside down and recruiting her for the
elite Bloodshed Academy.
Everything
she's ever known gets challenged, and Raven found herself in
impossible situations. Making matters worse was the fact that one of
the strongest alphas at school caught her eye. And he made her feel
things she didn't understand.
The
school may only recruit the best of the best, the strongest in their
world, but there was something more about Raven. When push comes to
shove, she had to decide if she's willing to fight for what she's
come to love ... or run from a life she couldn't quite
accept.

“Look,
I came here and scouted you out. You’re legit even if you’re
out of sync with your wolf. I’ll be back after graduation to pick
you up.” He turned so his back was facing me.
“You
don’t know my answer, though.” What kind of school just assumed
you were going to agree?
He
stopped in his tracks and glanced over his shoulder. “You’ve got
a lot to learn. When someone gets invited to Bloodshed, there is only
one answer.”
Raven Wright is shapeshifter about to graduate from high school. Her
life has already been laid out for her as everyone expects her to
marry the alpha’s son an alpha himself.
Raven’s boyfriend Greg is awaiting an invitation to the very elite
Bloodshed Academy. The recruiter is expected to show up at the school
the next day. Greg being the self center person that he is so excited
about going to the academy.
Raven is not too happy to be starting her life off married to the
very popular Greg. Raven would like to go to Bloodshed Academy
herself but has been told all her life that only alphas are allowed
in and females can not be an alpha.
Raven’s parents seemed to be hiding something from her or about
her. What can they be hiding? Raven has this necklace that her
mother gave her and must wear at all times. What is up with this
necklace?
Imagine everyone's surprise when the recruiter shows up the next day
and announces that he is there for Raven and not Greg. Raven’s
parents refuse to let her go but have not choice in the matter as
there would be dire consequences for anyone who refused. Poor, poor
Greg is mortified as he was so looking forward to attending the elite
academy.
Raven and her wolf have never been one with each other but she just
thought that was the way it was supposed to be until she arrived at
the academy and was told other wise. Raven must learn to become one
with her wolf and also how to control her shifting. The way her
parents act I assume that Raven has a lot of little surprises that
she will be learning about her self in the future and I surely hope
that I am around for this.
I so enjoy reading academy books with vampires, wolves and fae. I
hope to see even more paranormal creatures in future books. Year One
kept reminding me of the Twilight saga and the Vampire Diaries. With
Cole, Rage, Damien and Greg I kept wondering if we were going to see
all the guys fighting over Raven like in Twilight or Vampire Diaries.
Well or at least competing for her attention.
Year One has mystery, suspense, romance, great friendships, great
characters and awesome world building. Year One is an intense read
that kept me glued to the pages wondering what Raven’s parents were
keeping secret and wanting to know more about her and her past and
about her parent’s past as well.
I kept wondering what is Raven’s full potential? Is there more to
Raven than meets the eye? I can’t wait to read the next book Year
Two in the Bloodshed Academy series. Year One is a great start to a
fantastic new series one in which I am anxiously awaiting more of.
I would recommend Year One to all paranormal fantasy, vampire, wolves
and fae fans with an academy setting. Give Year One a shot, one click

Some
secrets kill ... others bring a fate worse than death
Barely
dealing with her shifter abilities, Raven had to navigate college.
Her journey so far has uncovered a world beyond her wildest
expectations.
Not

faculty at Bloodshed, but she also had to balance her love life, a
secret society with a hidden agenda, and three of the most elite guys
at school.
When
all the secrets around her are exposed, and everything Raven's facing
comes to a head ... she has to pick what's worth fighting for. Her

Reading
has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl.
When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and
over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and
could recite the story word by word.
My
favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So
of course that's what I'm inclined to write.
I
have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd.
I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the
state.
I'm
extremely addicted to caffeine and enjoy drinking coffee and lattes.
