What do you do when the woman you want to marry is stabbed by your brother? You drain her blood and then open your veins to her.
Melisandre DesMoin is Mistress of the vampress coven. For centuries they’ve been outcasts from vampire society because only their coven are able to do two things: Use magic. And give birth to female vampires.
So, when the other houses ask for a sit down, for the first time in seventy years, she can’t help but be curious about their newest proposal.
Eonis Savoy is the grandson to the strongest vampire family in the vampire nation. But when he gets to the sit down two things happen- Firstly, the woman he sits down with is nothing like what he expected. And Secondly, when he can’t convince her to align with the other families for the good of everyone, his brother tries to kill her.
If Eonis can save Melisandre’s life, they must decide. Are they willing to look past their differences and give in to the feelings budding between them? Or are they doomed to stay enemies forever.
My Review:
Queen of the Night by Rebekah R. Ganiere
Queen of the Night makes a great introduction to a brand new world of paranormal creatures. In the Queen of the Night, we are introduced to some wonderful characters. The first two are the vampress Melisandre head of the vampress and then there is Enois from one of the other vampire families.
For many, many years the vampress families and vampire families have done nothing but feud with each other. For years there has been no contact or interaction between the vampress and the other vampire families as they wanted nothing to do with vampress and her clan until now. Now things have taken a turn for the vampire families as now they want what only the vampress families can give them.
Enois seeks and finally gets an appearance with the vampress Melisandre herself. Enois wants to talk things out to see if they could come up with a plan for all the vampire families and the vampress to work together to obtain their objective. A plan that would hopefully work for all the families. But I am not quite on board with his plan nor do I imagine the vampress is going to be either.
But things don’t go as Enois had planned. The vampress turns Enois down saying their families will never be reunited. When his plans don’t go as planned his brother Troy steps in to make another better plan the only plan he deems relevant to the situation. Enois tries to stop his brother but without success and the vampress is harmed in the process.
Enois must now try to save the vampress so he can hopefully make amends for what his brother has done. He has to try and put back what his brother has torn asunder if that is at all possible.
Queen of the Night is a short novella it reads like a full-length novel, unlike so many others. Some shot stories tell it tale by throwing things in that it may need without leading up to it. While Queen of the Night is a fast-paced read (not because of its size but because of how great it is) that slowly leads up to the final climax.
Queen of the Night is a fast-paced read that doesn’t feel rushed at any given time. It starts out with a bang and keeps ongoing. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to get to the end so I could see how it all turned out.
Queen of the Night has many twists, twists that I truly enjoyed. Queen of the Night and its vampires are truly unique in so many different ways on so many different levels. Queen of the Night is a great start to this new world and I can’t wait to learn more about this world and its paranormal creatures. I can’t wait to dive into other stories from this world and getting know all these wonderful characters and more.
I enjoyed Queen of the Night so much that I would like to recommend it to any and all fans of vampires with a magical twist! One-click your copy of this magnificent little gem Queen of the Night today for a great start to a new world!
