“I love the Angelbound Origins world and just can’t seem to get enough of it!”The Avid Reader

As the Great Scala, Myla Lewis is the only being who can move Purgatory’s souls to Heaven or Hell. It’s a big job. Too bad Myla goes through assistants faster than a hot knife through brownies. Not that it bothers her much; Myla’s always been a solo fighter.

Then comes the problem of the fading angels. Millions of Heavenly residents are dying. According to a prophecy, the only way Myla can save them is by traveling back in time, meeting King Arthur, and creating her own knights of the round table. The catch? Doing so might end the after-realms in a bloody demonpocalypse.

Yipes.

Myla and her main squeeze, Lincoln, aren’t afraid of taking a few chances (in between kisses). But with so much at risk, the stakes may be too high, even for them. And the biggest challenge of all? Finding those knights.

Because Myla Lewis doesn’t play well with others. At all.

“These books don’t just capture your attention, they straight up demand it. Christina Bauer has created a fascinating and unique world that you do not want to miss out on.” – Bookhalolic Brittany

My Review:

The Brutal Time takes me back into my favorite world of Angelbound with Myla and Lincoln my favorite couple of all time. I love these two together. I love seeing them spend time together and them working together to save people. Every time I lay eyes on a new book from the Angelbound world that I have not read I can feel my happiness meter go way up.

In The Brutal Time the heavenly angels are dying and Myla is their only hope for survival. As the prophecy goes she is the only one who can save them and hopefully at the same time save the underworld from a demonpocalypse.

To stop the demonpocalypse and save the angels Myla must travel back in time to King Arthur's time. Once she is there Myla must meet King Arthur and then create her own knights of the round table.

Myla and Lincoln become separated after they travel back in time and she has no idea where he is or if he is safe. Myla will do whatever it takes to find the love of her life while at the same time create her own Knights. She must work hard and fast before time runs out.

Myla is a sparky bada** spunky chic who kicks a** and takes names after the fact. Myla is a quasi-demon with a tail that has a mind of its own. Gotta respect the tail! Ooh Love it! The Angelbound world is one that I totally love and never want to see end ever. I love the characters, the world building, and the demons.

Christina Bauer is one brilliant amazing author. I can only imagine what goes on in her head with all the stories and characters running around in there and wanting to get out and speak to the world, to us.

Each and every book just seems to get better and better leaving me wanting more from the Angelbound world. I can't wait to read more from this world. The Angelbound world and its characters will stay with me forever. I think about the characters and the Angelbound world's long after I have read the last page. When I'm reading it I can't turn the pages fast enough to reach the end but once I reach the end I am like no that can't be all of it as I don't want it to end I want it to continue forever.

Would I recommend The Brutal Time? You bet I do! If you like angels and demons with a kick a** and take names later kind of girl whose husband is so hot he will make your tongue come out slap your brains right out of your head then this is the book for you. One click yourself a copy today!

Author Bio:

Christina Bauer thinks that fantasy books are like bacon: they just make life better. All of which is why she writes romance novels that feature demons, dragons, wizards, witches, elves, elementals, and a bunch of random stuff that she brainstorms while riding the Boston T. Oh, and she includes lots of humor and kick-ass chicks, too.

Christina graduated from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School with BA’s in English along with Television, Radio, and Film Production. She lives in Newton, MA with her husband, son, and semi-insane golden retriever, Ruby.
