Excerpt:
“Oh.” She gasped and stumbled out of the stranger’s reach.
“After you.” The stranger paused, gesturing for her to go in front of him, his deep voice causing her heartbeat to accelerate even more.
She hesitated, but he made no move to grab her, so she slipped by him. His height made it easy for her to bend her head and avoid meeting his gaze. Still, she caught a glimpse of a firm jawline, dark hair, and a black computer bag strung over one shoulder as she passed.
She continued moving toward the infectious disease wing where Hannah was staying, the beat of her heart matching the tap-tap-tap of her shoes against the floor. The man followed behind. No one else was nearby, so she could hear the soft tread of his shoes. She quickened her pace, her breath coming faster now. Her stomach did a flip, and her throat tightened, preparing her to flee or scream if the situation demanded it.
She reached Hannah’s room. Bile rose in her throat when she realized the man’s footsteps stopped when she stopped.
She grabbed the doorknob and glanced to the side. The man was no longer there. She let her breath out in a rush and leaned her forehead against the door to recover her equilibrium. Get a hold of yourself, Lillian. Not every strange guy was one of Kinetica’s men, looking to grab her. She’d been so panicked, she hadn’t even taken the time to check the man’s vitality.
My Review:
Healing Kiss is a great story that captured my attention from the first page and never let go even after reading the last page. I was drawn in by all the magic of love. Healing Kiss had me all choked up almost in tears on many pages and in fear for Lillian and her family on many others.
Lillian is in hiding from a very powerful group of people who know her secret. This group of people has been chasing her for a very long time. Lillian has a very special talent. She can heal people. She channels energy from the healthy to heal the sick.
When Lillian’s sister Hanna becomes gravely ill she returns home to help her sister, risking her life and that of her family as well. Lillian meets a man, Tristan King outside her sister’s hospital room, while he is visiting his mother. Tristan is a wealthy computer genius, the one man with enough vitality to save her sister’s life.
Lillian and Tristan strike a deal to help each other while at the same time trying to keep their secrets hidden from each other. Lilliana and Tristan’s interest in each other continues to grow but Lilliana doesn’t think she can be with Tristan and put his life in danger. So sad. Can Lilliana fight her feelings for Tristan long enough to save her sister?
What a great story that will touch your heart in many different ways and leave you wanting more. I would sorely love to read more from this world. I would like to know Hanna and Brian’s story.
I would also like to know more about the people who are after Lilliana. I would like to get more of the story from their perspective. And I am sure that Lillian is not the only one with special powers whom this group of people is searching for as well. What is their story?
I would highly recommend Healing Kiss to all paranormal fans and fans of love. Grab your copy of Healing Kiss today!
